Who this policy covers
This policy applies to ACT Inverter Testing (ABN 58 624 616 584) and to this website, actinvertertesting.com.au. It explains what personal information we collect, why, how we keep it and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect and why
- Booking and contact details. When you use the booking form, call or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address if you give it, suburb, the kind of system you have, and what you tell us about your inverter. We use this to confirm what is on site, book the test and carry it out.
- What you send us. A photograph of your Evoenergy notice, and any photos of your inverter or switchboard, are used only to prepare for and complete your test.
- The declaration. Evoenergy's testing procedure requires a completed declaration for each inverter, which records the installation and the test results. We complete it with the details it asks for.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) to keep the site running securely. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the booking form from spam; it processes browser and connection information for security checks. See the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy.
How we use and share it
We use your information to respond to you, book and complete your test, and keep the records we are required to keep for electrical work. We give Evoenergy a copy of the completed declaration, as its procedure requires, and you keep a copy. We do not sell or rent personal information. Otherwise we share it only with the service providers that host this website and our email. Where those providers store data outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected.
How we keep it
Booking details are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your booking and test, and for the period our records must be retained. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Access, correction and questions
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@actinvertertesting.com.au or call 0400 331 705. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
